Domvs was thrilled to have the Mayor of Dorchester, Susie Hosford, attend their office at the weekend in support of the Poppy Appeal. All Domvs’ offices stripped their window displays of properties in favour of poppies in the preceding week to Remembrance Sunday and welcomed members of the public to drop in for tea and cake, with all donations to the Royal British Legion. Domvs were then doubling the donations received. The Mayor commented ‘it would be lovely if more businesses lend their support to the Domvs initiative’. Polly Greenway, Director of Domvs, responded by saying ‘It is such a worthy cause. We are now in our third year and we have had a fantastic week listening to many veterans dropping in and telling us their stories. We have all felt very humbled. Hopefully more businesses will join in next year: wouldn’t it be wonderful if the town were a sea of poppies!
