Four people had to be cut free by firefighters following a two-car crash.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Salisbury Road near Higher Coombe, Shaftesbury, just after 8pm last night.
A red Toyota Yaris and a silver Volkswagen Passat were involved in the collision.
Rescue equipment was used on one car so that the ambulance service could get to three people inside.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "One casualty was at the side of the road on fire service arrival.
"One further casualty was removed from vehicle two.
"Crews assisted with first aid and making the vehicles safe. All casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service."
Wiltshire Police worked with Dorset Police to close the road in both directions whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
Paramedics treated two patients, one who suffered a neck injury and another with a leg injury.
The patient with a neck injury was taken to Salisbury District Hospital.
The road was clear by 10pm.
