Ready, set, chase!
Santas and Puddings have been warming up on Weymouth beach to get ready for the return of a popular event.
They were joined by Muddles the court jester from this year’s Weymouth Pavilion pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, which is set to start performances on Saturday, December 9.
The festive Chase the Pudding event is marking its 10th anniversary this year and has just been named one of the top ten things to do in the country in December by Holiday Lettings, part of travel review website TripAdvisor.
Chase the Pudding takes place on Sunday, December 17.
It starts at 11am, with warm-up and ‘Santa Stretch’ from 10.45am.
The event supports popular local charity the Will Mackaness Trust.
The course is approximately 5km from the Pavilion end of the beach to the groyne at Greenhill and back again. Entry fees are £10 (£15 with Santa suit included). For full entry and registration details visit: willmackanesstrust.org.uk/christmas-pudding-race
Following the successful introduction last year there will also be a ‘Chase the Elf’ event running for under 14s.
