Police have launched a witness appeal after a tractor was stolen.

The theft happened in the Beaminster area over the weekend of November 18 and 19.

The vehicle was a Blue Holland Tractor T6.150 with the registration WA14 GZJ.

A spokesman for Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between the relevant times to please contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101.

"Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org

"We're also keen to hear from anyone who has witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area over the last week or knows of the tractors current whereabouts then we would urge you to report this.

"We would also like to take this opportunity to remind owners of tractor and agricultural equipment to lock it up and out of sight. It is worth considering fitting tracking devices, property marking products and alarms to areas where equipment is stored."
