Weymouth-born singer Tony Lowe has just received the BUTT (Brussels United Theatre Technicians) award for 'Best Actor' in 2016/17 for his roles as both Scrooge in 'A Christmas Carol' (The Musical), and Sir Joseph Porter K.C.B. in 'H.M.S. Pinafore'.
The shows took place in the Belgian capital and played to packed houses.
Tony, well known for his velvet voice and 'Sounds of Swing'' performances here in Dorset, returns to Weymouth for the festive season, appearing at The Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Rooms on December 28, on behalf of The Friends of Weymouth Pavilion (see Pavilion website for details), and at Shalim's Balti House restaurant on December 31.
Summer 2018 dates are already being scheduled for his concerts in both Greenhill Gardens in Weymouth and The Borough Gardens, Dorchester. Details will be announced in the new year.
