DORCHESTER Town have completed their first signing of 2018 by bringing in Bristol Rovers forward Cameron Ebbutt on an initial one-month loan.
The Magpies were short of cover up front with first-choice striker Phil Ormrod currently sidelined with a groin injury, while loanee Archie Collins was beset by illness for the visit to King's Lynn last Saturday.
But the signing of Ebbutt strengthens Steve Thompson's squad as the county town side looks to earn a fourth consecutive league win at home when they entertain Redditch United at the Avenue Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
Ebbutt completed an impressive loan spell at Evo-Stik Division One West side Yate Town after joining Rovers from Birmingham City in the summer of 2017.
The 18-year-old bagged a hat-trick against high-flying Taunton Town and will look to replicate that form against Redditch, when he is expected to go straight into the Magpies' matchday squad.
