A Christmas raffle has raised funds for a lifeboat station.
Tom & Erins Café on Weymouth Esplanade, organised a Christmas raffle for a 3rd year in a row, with all the profits going to charity.
This year owners Chris and Angela Steadman chose the RNLI as their charity to support.
The raffle consisted of 85 prizes, which were mostly donated, and sold at £1 a strip.
This amounted to a total of £450 being raised for the RNLI.
Teresa Drage and Malcolm Wright from Weymouth lifeboat station, collected the cheque from Tom & Erins on Monday, January 8 from owner Angela Steadman and Manageress Allison Floyde.
Weymouth lifeboat fund raising committee member Teresa praised the owners and staff of Tom & Erins for organising the raffle, and the customers who bought tickets for raising such a terrific amount of money for the towns lifeboat station.
The Weymouth Lifeboat station is one of the busiest on the coast, and deals with around 100 'shouts' a year, covering 1330 square nautical miles.
Like every lifeboat station in the UK and Ireland, they are run and funded by the Royal National Lifeboat institution, and organisation funded entirely through voluntary contributions.
