A BUSINESS showcase for rural firms was a great success.
And it aimed to demonstrated that north Dorset is a great place to do business.
North Dorset District Council’s Economic Development team host an annual event for local businesses each year.
The latest one saw 100 business owners interact, discuss opportunities and share best practice.
North Dorset MP Simon Hoare was in attendance, alongside members of the district council.
Cllr Sherry Jespersen, spokesman for Community and Regeneration, said: “Recent research has shown that businesses in rural areas are more likely to be innovative and more likely to return a profit.
“We need to get the message out that North Dorset is a really good place to do business.”
The council’s economic development team can help firms with business grants, financial advice, connections with relevant agencies. They can also connect people with relevant agencies and guide them through any regulations.
