It's the time of year when ewe need a story about a woolly twin set to put a smile on your face.

Here at Looking Back we loved this trip back to 1992, when a Symondsbury farmer's daughter's pet sheep gave birth to twins on Christmas Day.

Kizzy the sheep belonged to 15-year-old Jennie Symes and named to adorable new arrivals Mary and Joseph.

At the time Jennie's mum Lynne said: "Jennie has been looking after some sheep for about two years after buying them out of her own money. They were due to start lambing on about December 16 and we had been waiting and waiting for them to arrive,

"Then, late on Christmas Day, we decided to have one final check before we went to bed and when we went into the stable there they were."

Jennie had been busy helping to bring up Kizzy's offspring, the story in the Bridport and Lyme Regis News reported, and they were both doing well.
