The US singer-songwriter is hitting the road in June for a string of gigs, starting with a show at Franklin’s Gardens in Northampton on June 1.

Other tour stops include Perth, Hove, Lincoln, Shrewsbury, Leigh, Carlisle, Scarborough, Chesterfield and London, where Richie will play at Hampton Court Palace Festival.

The Hello singer, 68, plans to perform hits from across his extensive back catalogue, up to the present day.

“I’ve been missing the UK and can’t wait to make my long awaited return and to see parts of the country I’ve never made it out to before,” said the star.

“The fans are always incredible and they make the atmosphere at every show electric, so I look forward to singing along with them soon.”
