Photos shared online capture the moment after firefighters saved a cat from a burning house.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at a house in Marston Magna, just over the border into Somerset, shortly before 4am this morning.
Firefighters from Sherborne were called across the border to assist Yeovil fire crews at the scene, and found flames 'coming through the roof' on their arrival.
A fire spokesman confirmed that no one was inside when it broke out, but firefighters have now shared images on Facebook in a post which read: "Crews rescued a cat from the property and administered oxygen therapy, the kit was kindly donated by Smokey Paw."
Dramatic pictures of the fire have also been shared online, which show flames and thick smoke rising into the air.
A total of six engines from Sherborne, Yeovil and Martock were called to the blaze, along with a command support unit from Street.
Teams used six breathing apparatus sets, three attack jets and two safety jets to tackle the fire. Firefighters also went into neighbouring properties to stop the flames spreading.
Crews were still on scene dampening down the area at 9am this morning.
