A motorcyclist and their passenger fled the scene after crashing outside a primary school.
The motorcycle collided with a central reservation at a crossing point directly outside of St Andrew's Primary School in Weymouth.
A member of the public called police to report the collision on Littlemoor Road involving a black Suzuki motorcycle, at around 5pm yesterday (21).
Police attended but the rider and their pillion passenger had left the scene prior to their arrival, leaving the motorcycle at the scene.
Officers investigating the collision are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Jason Chant, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision or anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the relevant time and have dash cam footage covering the incident to contact police.
“I would also make a plea to the rider and pillion passenger involved to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police on 101 quoting crime number 55180027974.
