We deduce that Alan Chedzoy is keen on history.

However, the importance of history is to consider what is relevant from the past to the present time.

The USA has always been keen on a ‘unified’ Europe, without considering whether that is what European citizens wanted.

As a retired university lecturer, I can claim to have studied the facts about Brexit and voted to leave the EU.

Far from being a panacea for all the ills of the 1960s it has proved to be a disappointment - in economic development, democracy and good government.

Britain’s economy is fifth or sixth largest in the world, bigger that Russia, Brazil etc.

To state that UK cannot forge ahead alone is frankly a ludicrous suggestion.

Mr Chedzoy’s muddled thinking is demonstrated by blaming Mr Drax MP for the finances of one part of his constituency: namely, Weymouth & Portland Council Tax. Oh dear!
