With the arrival of snow and ice in many areas of the county, there have been disruptions to the roads and public transport, with some schools planning to close tomorrow.

Here's the latest on the forecast.

First Group announced this morning that the A1 school service was cancelled due to too many patches of ice on the hills for safety reasons.

The company also announced the school C2 service would not be serving Askerswell due to severe icy road conditions.

The A2 and Route 10 Thomas Hardye service are currently facing delays of around 10 minutes.

Budmouth College has announced that they will be closed tomorrow.

A post on their Facebook page says: "Due to the current Amber weather warning in effect for all day tomorrow, we have taken the decision to close the College to staff and students.

"If a decision is taken to close the College on Friday, the information will be available on the Dorset County Council."

Currently there is no disruption to the Weymouth town services.

Some South Western railways services from London Waterloo to Weymouth face slight delays of five minutes, but now services leaving Waterloo are running on-time.

On the roads the same areas are causing delays, with the A354 Portland Beach Road through roadworks between Wyke Regis and Fortuneswell have seen delays of 14 minutes.

Traffic is slightly heavy on Kings Street around Kings Junction, as well as the Weymouth Relief Road heading into the town centre around the Jurassic Roundabout.

There is also heavy traffic on the A350 Upton Bypass approaching the roadworks Westbound at the A35/B3068 Blandford Road North roundabout.

Due to adverse weather and icy rails, South Western Railway services are running at reduced speed across their network. People traveling by trains can expect delays.

Gritters will be out in full force this evening in anticipation of the cold weather.
