While much of Dorset is thawing, conditions remain treacherous on the county's higher ground.
Photographer Graham Hunt took this picture of a car abandoned in a snow drift on a country lane near Eggardon Hill off the A35 between Litton cheney and West Compton.
The image shows the shocking extent of the depths of the snow drifts in Dorset's rural areas.
And at around 3pm Travel Dorset said they still have a snow plough working up on the A37 near Maiden Newton.
Take care on the A37 between the Maiden Newton turn offs, we still have a snow blower and plough working away #dorsetgrit pic.twitter.com/J9FkoWwlLJ

Those who have abandoned cars are being asked to return to collect them when it is safe to do so.
Still snow in the rurals, but most major routes are clear and flowing freely - lots of cars still abandoned - if you had to leave yours in the road on a major route please return to collect it, as those cars are now the main traffic issue and were having to recover them. pic.twitter.com/ghaBZYzCs9
