The display board outside Debenhams in Weymouth states that buses are now running along Commercial Road and stop outside Debenhams, which for reasons of road works, they have not been doing for the past two months.
I have seen several people each day, waiting at the bus stop for a number 3 or 8 bus , one of them being a 90 year old gentleman.
However, what the display board states, is incorrect as the road, for some reason, remains closed to these buses and they continue to divert at the Statue instead.
When I mentioned this fact to a taxi driver yesterday I was told: “Oh the bus company doesn’t care, they have the monopoly and they do what they want.”
Perhaps the bus company would like to remember that it is the passengers who are their reason for existing and are commissioned to provide a service, as without them they would be out of a job.
