The Hardyeans Club will be holding its annual reunion dinner at the Thomas Hardye School later this month.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Simon Legg, who is best known as the manager of England Counties rugby. He was Director of rugby and a semi-professional player at Blackheath Rugby Club, having played representative rugby for England Schools, England Students, British Universities and England Counties.

Born in Weymouth, he studied at the new Thomas Hardye School from 1994 to 1999, going on to the University of Exeter where he graduated with a BA [Hons] in economics and politics. He became a chartered accountant in 2006 and is currently head of product control at energy giant Centrica Energy plc.

Membership of the club is open to former students of the Dorchester secondary schools which existed before the current Thomas Hardye School - Hardye’s School (formerly Dorchester Grammar School for Boys), Dorchester Grammar School for Girls (‘The Green School’), Castlefield, and the Dorchester Modern School.

Last date for bookings for the Dinner is Saturday, March 10. Tickets cost £28 and include a three-course meal.

It will be held in the sixth form centre at Thomas Hardye School on Saturday, March 24 from 7.30pm.
