A CHILDREN’S hospice charity is offering a discount to people who sign up to its charity bike ride event by the end of this month.

Julia’s House, which is based in Dorset and Wiltshire, is offering early bird registration for its Big Ride event if you sign up by Saturday, March 31.

The Big Ride on Sunday, July 8 is a challenging and breath-taking ride through Dorset and Wiltshire’s countryside to raise money to help support life-limited children and their families.

There are two circular routes to choose from, the 50-mile classic route and the 100-mile Grand Tour, both starting and finishing at Larmer Tree Gardens and both offering a mixture of spectacular views, leg-pumping climbs and quiet rural roads. Early bird registration costs £30 for the classic route and £35 for the Grand Tour. The registration fee will increase by £5 after Sunday April 1.

The registration fee helps cover the costs of organising the event. The money raised also helps to pay for the care and comfort of a local child and their family.

A free Julia’s House cycling jersey will be given to each cyclist when they reach a fundraising total of £200 and chip timing system will be in place.

Participants can enter as individuals or as a team and friends and family are invited to cheer cyclists across the finish line at Larmer Tree Gardens where a delicious hog roast and glass of prosecco will be on offer.
