DOGS and their owners will go 'walkies' tomorrow in a big gathering on Weymouth Beach.
Tomorrow is the last Sunday that dogs are officially allowed on the whole stretch of beach before the season starts and a restriction comes into force for the summer.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between Greenhill Groyne and the Pier end of Weymouth Beach from Good Friday to October 31.
The Weymouth Walkies event will see dog owners come together from 10.30am. There will be refreshments, promotional activities, music and goodie bags.
Dave Cumber Vets is sponsoring the event.
Dave Cumber said: "Walkers will be able to enjoy a day out at the beach whilst taking some good exercise in the fresh sea air."
CC Moore and The Pet Experience have donated vouchers and dog treats, Dog Friendly Social has been helping to promote the event, and staff from Dave Cumber Vets will be raising funds by providing refreshments with the proceeds going to Margaret Green Animal Rescue.
The event will start at 10.30am and there is no need to pre- register, simply turn up at the Pavilion end with your dog on a lead. The walk will continue to Greenhill and return to the Pavilion. Dog walkers are free to leave the walk at any time.
