A host of family favourites will be heading to Dorset for this year's Camp Bestival, it has been announced.

Already full to the gunwales with incredible music and festi-holiday fun for all the family, the crew at this year's maritime-themed event will be welcoming Peter Rabbit, Peppa Pig and Paddington to Lulworth Castle from July 26 to 29.

The trio will all be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the weekend. Catch Peter Rabbit on Friday, July 27, Peppa Pig on Saturday, July 28 and Paddington on Sunday, July 29.

Captain of the ship, Rob da Bank said: “Spring has sprung and summer is finally on its way, so we thought we’d give you even more seafaring fun and games for this year’s Camp B!

"Something for everyone is our unspoken motto and from meet and greets with family favourites, pop stars, and reggae legends, to shenanigans and hoe-downs in Caravanserai, lindy hopping in Pig’s Big Ballroom and amazing raving for all ages, we’ve never had so much to see and do.”

New music additions also announced include pop chanteuse Rae Morris, reggae overlord David Rodigan, plus Dub Pistols, Britpop Brass, Huey Morgan’s NYC Block Party with sets from Scratch Perverts & Mateo, Hak Baker, Grace Carter, Beans on Toast and Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer.

Raindance will jump to sets from Billy Daniel Bunter, Altern-8, Uncle Dugs, Liquid (live), DJ Faydz, DJ Vibes and Fat Controller and Big Fish Little Fish have sets from Mark Archer, Chris Liberator, Baker & Beale, Joe Muggs, High Eight, and Little My.

You can also expect maritime merriment and more from Shadow Child, The Lovely Eggs, 77.78, Adam French, Miss Kiddy & The Cads, Lekiddo Lord of The Lobsters, Junior Jungle, Opus Kink, The Curious, Everything Imagined, Jim8Track, Dapper Dan, English Disco Lovers, DJ getbacktothebeat and Funky Little Choir.

Ramshackle wonder-stage Caravanserai will also have a kids’ drum n bass special.
