A man has been arrested in relation to six shoplifting offences.
The offences were carried out in various locations in the county including Wareham and Swanage.
Dorset Police were called at 3.52pm on, Tuesday, April 17, with a report of a shoplifting offence at the Co-operative store in North Street, Wareham.
Officers were sent to the location and a search of the area was carried out for the suspect.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "A 39-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of two offences of shoplifting at the Co-op store.
"He was also arrested for further shoplifting offences at Boots in Swanage on March 31, two offences at Marks and Spencer at the Dolphin Centre in Poole on March 21 and another offence at the same store on April 11."
The man is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
