POLICE have released a man without charge following an assault in Weymouth town centre.
The incident happened at around 5.30am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 where it was reported that a Weymouth man aged in his 40s was assaulted outside of the Nautico Lounge in St Thomas Street.
He suffered serious head and back injuries as a result.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but has since been released without charge.
A Dorset Police spokesman said that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
