I Had always lived under the belief that we lived in a democracy, that those living in this country could vote and that vote would count, but to some, including politicians this is not the case. Under the Tory government and instigated by David Cameron we had a referendum as to whether to stay in the EU or not. Cameron, now along with Blair and many sitting in the House of Lords, voted against Brexit, leaving one to ponder the following: Are we, the tax payers, just here to pay taxes some of which fund government, and our views to be dismissed and to be ridden rough shod over?

What makes Cameron, Blair etc so arrogant as to think our vote doesn’t count and their views should only be considered? Remembering the Iraq, Afghanistan wars where, at best we were fed small amounts of information that wasn’t accurate or worst lied to?

Are MPs aware of who put them in office and the rules of that office? Especially where Brexit is concerned and we have passed the point of no return, we have voted to leave, we are a good way down that process, with terms almost agreed and should we change our minds then we would have apply again to join costing millions or is it billions A thought for those citizens who want to remain in the EU. I have just returned from a tour of some of France, Belgium and Holland. Their road systems are well maintained a joy to drive on, the same as Ireland. S EU mponmey is used for shoring up cities like Amsterdam and Venice.

Do we have the money for our groaning NHS and roads or are we still tripping and bumping to work?

So let’s just accept the vote of the majority, stop whingeing and get on with it.

Let’s enjoy a better Britain without the ludicrous laws and constraints imposed upon us by that non elected “dictatorship” in Brussels.
