A woman has denied charges of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report the accident in relation to an road traffic collision in Dorchester in which a mother was killed.
Melissa Julia Lewis, aged 47, of Pound Close in Charminster, entered not guilty pleas during a brief hearing at Weymouth Magistrates Court yesterday.
The charges relate to incident in The Grove on the evening of December 27 last year when pedestrian Erika Prisacaru, 39, was involved in a collision. She died later in hospital.
Ms Prisacaru, a mother-of one was walking to her car to go to work when she was hit by a car.
The case was adjourned until August 17, with further evidence to be submitted on June 29.
