A BAR in Christchurch town centre has received permission to introduce an outdoor terrace area.
Cameron's Bar & Lounge has been given the green light by Christchurch Borough Council's planning department to create a small seating area at the front of the premises.
The establishment is also set to create a disabled access ramp running from the pavement to the height of the building's door on Bargates.
A statement submitted on behalf of the applicant by HLF Planning says: "Cameron's operates throughout the day and into the evening providing for a wide choice of food
and refreshment.
"The current premises are however largely restricted to being internally focused, which in summer months misses an opportunity to encourage more customers to enjoy a meal al fresco."
It adds that it is hoped the defined outdoor area will encourage more customers and create an economic benefit for the bar, while also delivering a more vibrant feel in line with the vision for Christchurch town centre.
