Police are attending an incident close to the Rodwell Trail.
The lane from the Rodwell Trail leading to Prince of Wales Road has been taped off by police.
Residents said police arrived just after 9am this morning.
An eyewitness said several officers, as well as a police car and a police van are at the scene.
Police are conducting a thorough search of the cordoned area and were seen cutting and raking undergrowth and searching bushes.
An officer with a sniffer dog was also at the scene searching the area.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the taped off area is linked to the ongoing investigation in relation to the shots fired near Asda last week.
A man was arrested and later released under investigation following the incident.
Police also carried out searches of properties in Spa Road and Norfolk Road.
A video shows officers with a sniffer dog searching the area.
