A dog was rescued after falling 40ft from a edge on Portland.

The incident happened on Sunday evening at Cheyne Weares car park on Southwell Road.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 6.30pm that a Yorkshire terrier, called Possum, fell from the edge and became stuck in tree branches.

One crew from Portland and the technical rescue team attended the incident.
