Crowds flocked to yesterday's revamped Dorchester Carnival - Midsummer Madness.
Families, community groups, charities and schools all donned their best fancy dress to join in the walking parade.
Mayor of Dorchester David Taylor said the turn out was 'fantastic' despite the less than perfect weather.
The parade cut a spectacular sight as the crowds packed West Walks as they prepared to set off from the Borough Gardens.
Led by members of the New Hardy Players and Ceiliah Band, Tatterdemalion, the parade wound its way through to the marketplace and across to Brewery Square and South Street before returning to the gardens.
