Hundreds of visitors arrived in Dorset this morning as the twelfth cruise ship arrival of the season sailed in to Portland Port.
German Cruise Ship "Mein Schiff 3" docked in the port this morning carrying 2,506 passengers from Germany.
The 99,000-tonne vessel is on a 14-night British and Irish cruise.
Last month the port saw the inaugural visit of Norwegian Cruise Line’s, Norwegian Breakaway – the longest and heaviest ship to dock at Portland Port and accommodating in excess of 4,000 passengers.
The first ship of the 2018 season earlier was the 20th visit by a Phoenix Reisen vessel.
Portland Port’s cruise season this year is set to be a record breaker with the greatest number of cruise calls and passengers to date.
Overall this year the port is expecting to handle 32 cruise ships bringing nearly 39,000 passengers into Portland.
