CROSSWAYS: A handbay was stolen from a car parked in the Crossways area. The incident happened sometime between 6pm on Saturday, June 9 and 9am on Sunday, June 10.

COUNTY: Police are encouraging anyone with information about poaching to contact them.
Dorset has a huge rural area with a large population of deer unfortunately they are often targetted by poachers. Poachers will often use dogs to bring down the hunted animal this can occur at night or during daylight hours. Other animals are also targetted including hares, pheasants and fish.
Poaching is hunting without the approval of the landowner. this can involve hunting with dogs, shooting and trapping of game as well as fish.

COUNTY: Police are continuing to investigate an assault in North Dorset.
The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday, March 24 in the area of Tarrant Gunville near Blandford. 
The victim, a woman aged in her 40s, was walking past a green Land Rover when a man linked to the vehicle struck her over the head with a handheld device, possibly a camera.
The victim sustained a head injury that required hospital treatment.
