Witnesses to a crash are being urged to come forward.

A man was taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Bridport on Saturday morning.

The incident took place on the westbound carriageway of the A35 East Road near to the Lee Lane junction at about 8am.

It involved a silver Nissan Almera and a silver convertible BMW. The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital for treatment to a possible neck injury.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police Constable Alex Roach, of Bridport police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of either vehicle immediately prior to the incident, to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area at the relevant time and may have captured the incident on their dashcam.”
