I am writing as chairman of the Fayre in the Square Committee for the Rotary Club of Weymouth to thank the Dorset Echo for their great support of this event which has become the number one in Weymouth.
The net takings this year were over £16,000 despite the weather forecast.
All of this will be given away to the chosen charities and good causes, who have applied via the Echo, on June 29 at Pilgrim House.
Thank-you also to our sponsors and advertisers as well as of course the local bands who appeared for free during the weekend.
Most of all a massive thank-you to the members of the public who contributed so generously.
We are already looking forward to next year and trust the Echo will continue their excellent support.
