This weekend is set to see the return of one of Weymouth and Portland’s most popular annual events.

The streets will be transformed back to the 1940s, with the Armed Forces Day celebrations.

The Esplanade and side roads will be closed from 10am to 1pm on Sunday for the Armed Forces Parade.

Dorset County Council Highways team said that a section of Custom House Quay below the Town Bridge will also be closed from 10am to 4pm on Sunday because of crowds watching the England/Panama football match on the harbourside.

Access to the quayside will be via the Town Bridge.
