IS it a bird? No, it's a jellyfish (well, sort of).
This photo of an odd-looking cloud over Portland has been stirring lots of interest.
Jim Perkins was out and about at the weekend when he snapped the picture of the rare cloud formation.
Mr Perkins said he sent the picture to Weather Magazine, who identified the clouds as 'altocumulus floccus virga', also sometimes known as jelly fish clouds because of their resemblance to the creatures.
