A SUPERYACHT that costs an eyewatering £678,000 to charter for a week – plus expenses – has been spotted in Swanage Bay.

The luxurious Amaryllis was seen by an Echo reader on Tuesday who saw its tender tied up at Salterns Marina.

It is not known who is currently hiring the yacht.

He said: “I had a day off work and went out on a jet ski and saw it anchored up in Swanage Bay. It’s the kind of thing you’d normally see in the south of France not Swanage.”

He added: “It was definitely hard not to miss.”

The 250ft yacht can sleep up to 12 guests across six cabins, including one VIP bedroom, with additional space for a crew of 23.

It has five decks, a host of lounging and dining options, a gym, a Schimmel Pegasus piano with auto-playing function, a swimming pool, steam room, dedicated massage area, an onboard jet-ski, “spacious” glass lift and even a waterslide.

And if all that sounds too much like hard work, you can relax in the jacuzzi which comes complete with multi-coloured lights.

It was built in 2011 by the acclaimed German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 16 knots.
