It was another busy evening for crews as they were called out to numerous fires in the area.
At 6.40pm last night crews were called to the coastguard cottages on Portland towards Chesil Cove.
Both crews from Portland attended and discovered a small area of wasteland on fire.
It was extinguished using a hose reel and beaters.
Crews were later called to a field in West Bay to extinguish a large quantity of unburnt hay and rubbish that had reignited after a previous controlled burn.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said they received the call at 9.50pm.
She said: "It was originally a controlled burn lit by the farmer but it was causing a nuisance to nearby campers so we made the decision to extinguish it."
Crews were also called to a fire in Shaftesbury.
There was a small fire in a public field near to Ten Acres.
The attending crew arrived on scene within two minutes and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
