While I applaud James Newall’s letter (Echo, July 6) attacking the council over the Pavilion site, I really can’t support his idea of an underground car park in the area.
Why? Because the 'peninsula' is not a peninsula at all, despite what so many councillors and officials and other assorted figures say. In fact, it is merely a pier with some infilling.
