VISITORS to this weekend's Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival in Weymouth are invited to follow an adventure trail.

One of the event's sponsors, Dream Cottages, has devised a trail for families to follow which shows off some of the best bits of Weymouth.

Adventurers can follow the clues and answer the questions, and learn all about what makes Weymouth Harbour such a special place.

With refreshments to purchase and entertainment along the way, organisers say the Dream Dorset Trail is sure to bring a smile to young and old.

The trail goes around the harbourside and Nothe Gardens.

It's free to take part and those completing it can enter a competition and be in with a chance of winning a week-long stay at a 5-star property on the harbourside.

The first 500 children a day to complete the trail will receive a specially-commissioned bespoke biscuit medal with a Dream Dorset Trail design, and all will receive a certificate for completing the trail.

Joy Sangster, Sales and Marketing Director at Dream Cottages, said: “We are passionate about Dorset and want to share the beauty of the harbour and Nothe Gardens with visitors to the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival.

"We have created the trail to showcase this beautiful area and know it will entertain all ages.

"We are proud to once again be supporting and sponsoring the seafood festival as we have done each year.”

If you want to take part visit Dream Cottages' stand opposite Mallams on Trinity Road where you can pick up a free trail map and answer sheet.

The trail will run from 10am-4pm today and tomorrow.

Any children taking part must be supervised by an adult. Entrants to the competition to win a stay at a property need to be aged over 21.
