Hi readers, it’s William here again, writing about our heatwave.

As much as I like being outside in this nice weather, I see some downsides to all the sunshine.

For example, I’ve noticed people who probably haven’t put enough or any sun cream on, and have got sunburnt.

I think it’s very important to protect yourself from the sun and its harmful UV rays, because you could not only get sunburnt, but get skin cancer.

I always wear sun cream when I’m out in the sun, especially when I am working outside, like in the Borough Gardens.

I also make sure that I drink plenty of water on hot days, so I don’t get too dehydrated.

I have never got dehydrated as I don’t like the idea of getting headaches and feeling ill.

The other thing which isn’t good is those people who have to work in an office which gets really hot in the summer.

It must be hard to concentrate without any air conditioning to cool everyone down. I am glad I don’t have to work in an office.

It would be nice to work in the Plaza Cinema during a hot summer as they have air conditioning!

The thing I worry about most, is when it’s this hot, it increases the risk of ground fires.

It was awful to see the fires in Lancashire. It makes me cross to see people starting fires deliberately, for no reason.

I think these people should do community service, like helping to replant on the area which they have destroyed.

Despite all the above, I love this hot weather. I just think we have to treat it respectfully – by looking after our skin, bodies, each other and the environment.
