Earlier this week we welcomed Oceania’s Marina, bringing 1,258 passengers to the borough from the USA.

The borough has seen a continuous stream of cruise ships arriving at Portland Port this year - here's what cruise ships you can expect to see over the coming weeks.

Today (Sunday, August 12) sees the arrival of Mein Schiff 3 from Germany, bringing with her 2,506 passengers and measuring just over 290 metres.

Dorset Echo:

On Friday, August 17 the Hebidean Princess will be arriving at the port at 8am. This is a 'turn-around' call.

Next month will then see the arrival of Astor on Monday, September 3. This cruise ship will arrive at 7am and leave at 8.30pm and will bring 578 passengers.

On Sunday, September 9, Mein Schiff 4 will be docking at the port. The cruise ship measures 293.3 meters and will bring 2,506 passengers from Germany.

The following day, on Monday, September 10, Disney Cruise Line will be bringing the Disney Magic cruise ship from the USA to the borough. Measuring just over 300m it will be bringing the most passengers to the borough out of all the cruise ships of 2018 - 2,809 passengers.

As reported, this year is another record-breaking year for cruise ships visiting Portland Port - with next year expected to be even bigger and better.
