Officers investigating a burglary in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It was reported that between 7pm yesterday and 12.45am today, a break-in occurred at a home in Alexandra Road.

Entry is believed to have been gained through a ground floor window and an untidy search was carried out. Two Asus laptops, a purse containing cash and cards and various items of jewellery were taken from the property.

Police Constable Katherine Rupp, of Weymouth police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries, including house to house and examination of the crime scene, as we investigate this burglary.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Alexandra Road around the relevant times or who has any information about this burglary to please contact us.”
