Weymouth Carnival is looking for some last-minute helpers.

The first day of the two-day extravaganza is set to begin tomorrow.

Despite this, organisers are still in need of a handful of extra volunteers to help the event run smoothly.

Both local residents and holidaymakers will be able to get involved.

Also, everyone who helps out will be given a Weymouth Carnival t-shirt and will get food and refreshments, as well as a thank you gift voucher.

Stacey Andrew, Chairmen of Weymouth Carnival, said: “This year’s carnival has much more going on than usual, with an enhanced air show, RAF Dog Display, more beach sports, circus skills workshops. To make things smoothly we could do with just a few more helpers over both days and particularly for the procession on Wednesday which is also going to be bigger and better than it has for many years. It is really great to be involved with the carnival, to see everyone having a great time and working with our lovely team of volunteers. We are sure that anyone who agrees to help will have a fabulous time”.

If you can help over both days, or even for just a few hours please go to https://weymouthcarnival.co.uk/volunteer/ fill in the simple form and someone will be in touch with you.
