Police are investigating a suspected arson attack at an address on Portland.
Dorset Police were called at around 6am on Sunday, August 12 to an address in Hamcroft in Easton.
The fire started in the porch and caused significant damage to the lounge and its contents before being extinguished by the fire service.
A woman who was inside the address left without injury.
Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said: "We suspect this was an arson and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the incident to get in touch.
"If you have any information that could assist with the investigation please contact Dorset Police or call Crimestoppers anonymously."
