Two fire engines were sent to a property in Weymouth yesterday afternoon.
The incident took place on Radipole Lane in Weymouth.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We took a 999 call from a person stating there was a fire in their kitchen. We sent two fire engines, including one from Weymouth and one from Portland."
The call came in at 1.27pm.
He added: “The first crew arrived at the scene within three minutes of the 999 call. The crews then extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera and a ventilation fan.”
