There have been a number of break-ins to vehicles in the north Dorset area.
North Dorset Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team were out in full force today visiting local beauty spots, checking vehicles and advising visitors about the dangers of leaving valuables in their vehicles.
A police spokesman said: “There have been a number of breaks to vehicles over the last few weeks in the north Dorset area, where owners have returned to find their vehicle’s windows smashed and their valuables stolen.
“Amazingly more than 30 vehicles were seen to have valuables on view today. Do not leave valuables in your vehicles.”
