Firefighters extinguished the fire on the A37 Picture: Maiden Newton Fire Station
FIREFIGHTERS were called after a car went up in flames on a major Dorset road.
A crew from Maiden Newton Fire Station extinguished the car fire on the A37 at Frome St Quintin.
The crew arrived at the scene at 7.35am and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Assistance was provided by Dorset Police for traffic control.
