ST MARY'S Church, Weymouth, needs to raise £12,000 for vital work to be carried out on the organ and a series of lunchtime concerts is being held to raise cash.
The next concert will take place at the church on Wednesday, March 12, when John Tallon of St Andrew's Church, Preston, will play.
Tickets are £3.50 to include a snack lunch, which will be served at noon before the performance at 1pm.
Musician Hugh Ashley has also been booked on a date to be arranged.
- A LENTEN lunch will be served on Monday at St Mary's Church. Coffee and cakes will be available from 10.30am and lunches from noon until 2pm.
There will stalls selling bric-a-brac, books and videos. Tickets cost £1.50 each including soup and a roll.
- A COFFEE morning will be held in aid of a children's group from 10am to noon on Saturday, March 15, at St Augustine's Church Hall, Dorchester Road, Weymouth.
All money raised will help finance the Whizz Kids group.
- ST PATRICK'S Day will be celebrated at a party next Saturday, March 15, at St Augustine's Church hall, Dorchester Road, Weymouth, from 7pm. There will be a quiz, raffle and Irish music and dancing. Bring your own food and drink.
