THIS morning's high tide caused flooding in Weymouth town centre.

Strong winds pushed high waters over the harbour near Brewer's Quay and around town bridge.

A Weymouth and Portland Borough Council spokesman said minor flooding had been caused but no roads needed to be closed.

Kiosk owners on the Esplanade made sand mounds to hold waters back and minor flooding occurred on the footpath by the Jubilee Clock.
