RSPCA workers need a fundraising boost to treat two cats.
Taylor's Animal Rehoming Centre at Kingston Maurward, near Dorchester, has acquired sick and homeless cats Thomas and Vicky.
Thomas, a five-year-old black and white, came to the centre after his owner died. He was suffering sun damage that needed expensive surgery.
Vicky, a three-year-old tabby and white cat, is a stray who was found with her leg stuck through her collar.
Now the centre needs £300 so she can have a vital operation to help her walk properly. Animal care assistant Jess Hall said: "We get no funding from RSPCA headquarters or the Government so all the money we get is from charity shops and donations.
"A lot of animals here need operations and we are appealing for people to help us."
To support Vicky or Thomas call the rescue centre on 01305 259672.
