LAND at Chickerell used for scrap metal storage and garaging could be developed for housing.
Builder CG Fry has applied to West Dorset District Council for planning permission to build 61 homes on the site at Floods Yard, Chickerell Hill.
The proposal involves demolishing two houses and other outbuildings to create the range of 48 houses and 13 apartments.
The brownfield site is mostly disused but still has contamination from previous use.
Comments are invited before June 13.
